God is revealing himself through Oral Bible Translation

Some Bible translators in central Asia gathered for three weeks to learn the Oral Bible Translation process from Faith Comes by Hearing (FCBH). One of the translators, Mark*, was the only Christian. After retiring from his job as a software engineer, he lost almost all of his sight and can barely see faces and shapes.

During the training, Mark used a magnifying glass and worked right next to the computer screen to see what was happening. He took screen photos and studied them with a magnifying glass. One of the FCBH trainers said, “It was moving to see him so engaged despite his disability.”

Mark, the legally blind translator, studies a story board during training.

Now, upon completing the workshop, the translation team is orally translating the book of Luke using the laptops, headsets, and speakers that people like you have provided through our Technology Solutions.

God, through his Word, is revealing himself to the non-believers: “Through the process of studying and orally translating the book of Luke, [the non-believers] have come to a deep appreciation of who Jesus is and what he teaches,” an FCBH staff member said.

Praise God that he is opening these worker’s minds to understand who he is!
