Jaars Center

Tours

Explore the JAARS Base and learn about our history. Discover how we’re working to reduce barriers, ease burdens, and deliver God’s Word to the nations, and see how you can be a part of this important work.

Choose from two tour options:  Book a guided tour or enjoy a self-guided tour when it’s convenient for you.

On a guided tour, you’ll meet your tour guide in the newly remodeled Cardenas Building at 6403 Davis Road next to the The Alphabet Museum. Allow one-and-a-half hours for the tour. You’ll walk about a mile as you explore the Townsend Building lobby, discover JAARS history in the Cardenas building, and visit our Land and Sea operations departments, and the hangar. Afterwards, don’t miss touring The Alphabet Museum.

Be sure to bring strollers or wheelchairs, if needed. All ages are welcome but the tours are best suited for visitors 18 years and older.

Reserve your tour at least two weeks in advance. Reservations are required. To make yours, email us or call 704.843.6000.

Self-guided Tours of JAARS are available (for groups of 10 or less) starting at the Cardenas Building at 6403 Davis Road Monday – Friday 9:00—12:00 and 12:30—3:30  and Saturdays from 12:30—3:30. You begin the tour learning about JAARS in the Cardenas Building, then touring The Alphabet Museum at JAARS, and the Townsend lobby (closed Saturdays). You may also walk over to the runway viewing area between the hangar and the Aviation Admin building with a picnic table and shade trees.

“I thought the campus was a beautiful picture of the body of Christ … so many people with many different talents working together for the furtherance of the gospel. I felt as if everywhere I stepped, I needed to be praying because God’s work was being done in those areas. Staff was very friendly, and their love for the Lord showed in everything they did.”
