Help Transform People’s Lives

By Mary Beth

The translated Word of God touches lives—forever. It brings peace, joy, and eternal life in Christ.

Would you like to play a part in transforming people’s lives with the love of Jesus Christ? You might be thinking, “I can’t translate the Bible. How can I further the work of Bible translation?”

As a JAARS advocate, you can help people receive God’s Word in their heart language … right from where you live. That’s what Jack Jones from South Carolina is doing. Here’s his story:

JAARS Advocate Jack Jones

“After careers in the Navy and for-profit businesses, God redirected my heart and life toward serving others. No longer comfortable with my “life purpose,” I moved into non-profit work. Then about six years ago, while researching short-term mission opportunities, I came across the JAARS website and just had to learn more! After visiting on a JAARS Day—and seeing the George Cowan* video—it became very clear to me that the most basic need for every person in the world is to have the gospel in their language. The JAARS Advocate role was the answer to my “how can I help?” question—and also the answer to my search for meaningful service toward God’s glory. I am humbled to be a small part of the JAARS worldwide reach!”

Like Jack, you can come alongside JAARS to represent our work in your own spheres of influence: churches, schools, Bible studies, small groups. As a JAARS advocate, you’ll share how Bible translation leads to changed lives—and how anyone can join with us to make it possible in the most remote and difficult places around the world. We’ll provide the training, resources, and support you’ll need to help transform people’s lives with God’s Word in the language they understand best.
