Global Operations Fellow


DIRECT SUPERVISOR: REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL OPERATIONS 

The Global Operations Fellow will assist the Regional Director and the Global Operations Administrator in the process of receiving project proposals from global partner organizations, assessing proposals as well as the partner’s potential to benefit from the proposal, and then managing approved proposals through the decision process, implementation, and termination, as applicable.  The Fellow will learn how each approved project supports Wycliffe partner organizations by providing transportation, technology, and other solutions that advance Bible translation efforts throughout the world.  The Fellow will also learn about mission operations in a cross-cultural context.

Job Responsibilities

  • Receive and assess project proposals under the oversight of a Regional Director of Global Operations
  • Managing approved proposals through the decision process, implementation/termination, and post-project implementation review (as applicable)
  • Learn, apply and optimize JAARS products and services for each domain and how JAARS engages with the network of international partners in the Bible Translation Movement and beyond, as well as Global Initiatives Projects process and related systems (Google Workspace Apps)
  • Schedule, organize, and attend meetings (via Zoom and in-person) with JAARS staff and international partners, record meeting minutes, and prepare meeting summaries
  • Manage the Google Drive, Smartsheets, and all project and field documentation. Generate new project numbers, directory structure, and template data set, as needed
  • Assist the Vice President of Global Operations, GO Administrator, and Regional Directors in further development, implementation, and writing of critical GO processes and related policies and documents
  • Prepare internal and external Reports and Presentations, as needed
  • Other job-related duties as assigned by your manager

Preferred

  • Majors include International Affairs/Relations, Intercultural Studies, Communications, Computer/Internet Technology, Transportation (Aviation, Land, or Maritime), or Project Management
  • French or Spanish language proficiency desired, but not required
