The JAARS exhibit is in the Main Aircraft Display area—site #23—next to Gate 33 coming in from the Bus Park station and located just west of exhibit Hangar C.

Our Helio Courier Toña airplane and our Robinson R66 helicopter will be on display.

Event Schedule

Daily  

  • 2:00 p.m. – Watch the JAARS Pilatus Porter fly the skydivers to open the afternoon airshow each day!
  • All Day – See the JAARS Pilatus Porter up close and personal, and chat with our pilots about its story. The aircraft will be parked near the airshow announcers tower or on Boeing Plaza.
  • All Day – Our FlightSpan developers and users will be in the JAARS exhibit tent to share about and demonstrate the capabilities of this unique platform to simplify remote flight operations.

Monday–Wednesday

  • The JAARS Helio Courier will be parked in “Vintage in Review” at the Vintage Aircraft Association’s Red Barn. Stop by and talk with our pilots manning the aircraft.

Monday, 11:30 a.m.–12:45 p.m.

  • Glenn Grubb will present an educational forum on Stabilized Approaches to Non-standard Runways at Forum Stage #11.

Wednesday, 11:00–11:45 a.m. 

  • Helio Courier N87763 will be featured at the “Vintage in Review” interview circle. Listen to JAARS pilots share the history of the Helio aircraft and JAARS, the aircraft itself, and stories of its use in the field.

Thursday 

  • JAARS Helio Courier N87763 will be flying during the “Vintage in Review” flight before the airshow starts. Afterward, you can visit the aircraft and chat with JAARS pilots in the Vintage area.

Friday, 2:30–3:45 p.m.

  • Watch our feature-length documentary, “Whatever it Takes: The First 75 Years of JAARS,” at the EAA Museum Skyscape Theater.

Saturday 

  • The JAARS Pilatus Porter will be showcased during the Public Benefit Flying portion of the airshow by flying a missionary aviation demonstration flight.
