CrossVenture | Aero FAQ

How and when should I apply?

The best way to let us know you’d like to attend is to fill out the online application form. We open up applications every November, once we have determined our camp dates for the summer.

When does my reservation lock in?

Filling out our online reservation form is an application to attend CrossVenture|Aero, and does not guarantee acceptance to the camp. Space is very limited, so we want to reserve this camp for only those who are seriously interested in missionary aviation. You will be notified if you have been accepted, and your spot at CrossVenture|Aero will be “locked-in” after we receive your $150 commitment deposit within two weeks of your notification of acceptance.

Can my son or daughter apply by themselves?

CrossVenture|Aero is designed for individual participants (not groups). Your son or daughter is welcome to fill out the online application form on their own, however participants under 18 will need to provide their parent/guardian’s contact information.

How many openings are there in a given CrossVenture|Aero camp?

CrossVenture|Aero may have up to 12 campers.

What are the accommodations like?

Campers stay in our JAARS campus housing usually 2 to a bunk, 3-4 to a bedroom. Oversight is given by a dorm parent for each unit. We do not permit co-ed housing. There will be separate housing based on gender with dorm parents for each unit.

What about food?

All meals are included in the camp fee. Breakfast and dinners are prepared by volunteers and served in central housing. Lunch is provided by our campus cafeteria. Snacks provided.

How do I know what to bring?

You will receive a packing list prior to your arrival.
