Baccalaureate

Every year, we celebrate the graduating Seniors of JAARS Youth Group with a Baccalaureate ceremony.

Arika  Joy Abbott

Arika Joy Abbott is the oldest of Jim and Joy Abbott’s two children. She was born in the United States and lived in Indonesia, Michigan and North Carolina. She is a homeschool graduate and will be attending SPCC in Monroe, North Carolina.  She aspires to work with middle school and High school TCKs and MKs.  

Jessica Grace Dokken

Jessica Grace Dokken is the youngest child of Paul and Laura Dokken. She was born in Washington State and grew up in Papua New Guinea with her older sister and brothers. She is a graduate of Parkwood High School. She will attend Anderson University, anticipating all God has for her to discover and learn there. Her favorite Bible verses are Psalms 91:4-5

Buck Eudy

Buck Eudy was born to David Eudy and Leslie Kiker in Monroe, North Carolina and has lived in Union County all his life. Buck is graduating from Parkwood High School. His plans after high school are still unfolding, but he is looking forward to how God will lead him. His favorite verses are Philippians 1: 21-24.

 

Zachary David Hensler

Zachary David Hensler is the second of Dwight and Tracy Hensler’s three children. He was born in Iowa and has lived in Tanzania and the United States. He graduates from Metrolina Christian Academy and is going to take a gap year while he plans and considers future possibilities. His favorite Scripture is John 1:12

David Josiah Lothers

David Josiah Lothers, the son of Michael and Laura Lothers is the second of three children. He was born in Pineville, NC and has lived in Lancaster, SC. He graduates from homeschool and will major in electrical engineering as part of the South Carolina Honors College at USC Columbia. He intends to research and teach at a college level in a STEM field. His favorite Scripture verses are Titus 2:11-14

Bryce Nathaniel Taylor

Bryce Nathaniel Taylor is the 2nd of Bret and Mindy Taylor’s three children. He was born in San Jose, California where he lived for 6 months until his family moved to Waxhaw. He has lived in North Carolina ever since.  He graduates from CATA and will attend Liberty University as a Mechanical Engineering major, where his passion for robotics can flourish.  His favorite Scripture verse is John 3:17

James Allen Walton

James Allen Walton is the eldest son of Jeremy and Lisa Walton’s four children. He was born in Texas and has lived in Japan, Italy, California, Texas, Missouri and North Carolina. He is a homeschool graduate of Walton Academy and will attend Liberty University. He plans to study mechanical engineering. His favorite Scripture is Psalm 27:14.
