Session 4 Objectives

1. To assist MKs in developing departures skills through REAL.

2. To assist MKs to develop methods in how to solve problems and make wise choices.

3. To assist MKs in developing the ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts and repair relationships.

4. To assist MKs to develop ways and habits to handle change.

 

Problem-solving skills along with things such as resolving conflicts, handling change, and good communications are skills that parents desire to develop in their child/children. Children are making many adjustments as they move. This segment will assist you in helping to develop the skill of problem-solving which will help them to feel more confident.

Daily Materials
  • A notebook for each child to write in
  • A folder to hold worksheets and crafts
  • A computer with the ability to play audio
  • Writing and drawing utensils (pencils, crayons, markers, etc.)

    • Blank printer paper
    • Drawing materials
Lesson 2: Friendship Pen Craft
  • Base Materials
    • Ballpoint pens
    • Liquid craft glue
    • Beads
    • Multicolored yarn
Lesson 3: REAL Worksheet and Look Ahead Glasses Craft
  • Base Materials:
    • Printer access
    • Cardstock (recommended) or blank printer paper
    • Scissors
    • Glue
    • Drawing materials
