The best way to let us know you’d like to attend is to fill out the online reservation. Camp dates are usually determined by mid-March. The best way to secure your spot is to send in a deposit of one-quarter the camp fee within two weeks of registration. (Deposits usually run around $150.)
May a minor (under 18) register by themselves?
If you are under 18, you may register the initial information by yourself. However, it’s important that you let your parents or guardians know about your desire and plans.
How many openings are there in a given Brigade Air Camp?
At JAARS we can accommodate 4–20 participants in a given season.
What are the accommodations like?
Campers stay in our campus housing, usually 2 to a bunk, 3–4 to a bedroom. Oversight is given by a dorm parent for each unit.
What about food?
All meals are included in the camp fee. Breakfast and dinners are prepared by volunteers and served in central housing. Lunch tickets are provided by our campus cafeteria. Snacks are also provided.
Who should attend Brigade Air Camp?
You should consider registering for Brigade Air if:
You have an interest in aviation, and specifically how it relates to missions and taking the message of Jesus to the ends of the earth.
You’ve wanted to get some flight time but can’t afford it.
You like to hear true stories about flying in extreme parts of the world.
What age do campers need to be?
13–17 years is the age range for our camp. These parameters are related to the fact that JAARS is a working mission aviation training center, and we have rules we need to comply with to keep minors safe.
How do I know what to bring?
You will receive a packing list as well as other information prior to your arrival.
