Museum Programs Fellow


Direct Supervisor: Museum Manager/Curator

The Museum Programs Fellow will serve alongside the Museum team to support the day-to-day operations, programs, and events of the museum. JAARS operates The Museum of the Alphabet on its property (more details here). The Museum Programs Fellow will learn how to train new staff, coordinate schedules, and organize events.

The Museum Programs Fellow responsibilities include:

  • Learning the history, current state, and purpose of the museum
  • Coordinating and hosting tours
  • Organizing special museum events, like JAARS Day and Night at the Alphabet Museum
  • Overseeing staff and operations under the Museum Manager
  • Orienting and training new staff

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills
  • Passionate about Bible translation and sharing the work of JAARS

Preferred

  • Working experience with Google suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.) and Microsoft Office
  • Majors including: Education, Anthropology, History, Museum Studies, Administration, Event Planning
