President

Our president provides spiritual leadership, oversees corporate decisions and relates with our major financial partners. He or she is chosen by our board of directors and serves for three-year terms, which can be renewed with the board’s approval.

Board of Directors

Our board of directors operates by Policy Governance® to ensure that JAARS achieves its mission. Every year, our 12 board members meet twice and participate in at least two conference calls. Their decisions are accountable to the executive director of SIL International.

When seats on the board are open, the board elects new members based on nominations from within the Wycliffe Bible Translators family of organizations. Members serve for three-year terms, which can be renewed with the board’s approval.

Senior Leadership Team

Our senior leadership team consists of our president and senior vice presidents (SVPs). All SVPs are chosen by our president, who oversees the team. These leaders provide support to the president and oversee JAARS departments and corporate decisions.
