Waxhaw, N.C.
For more than 45 years, the JAARS Center in Waxhaw, N.C., has been the hub of JAARS aviation. Here, new and seasoned pilots gather for intensive training; engineers create innovative modifications to the JAARS fleet; mechanics repair and upgrade our aircraft; and administrative personnel faithfully coordinate our services.
This multi-faceted team comes together at Townsend Field, where our administrative offices, hangar, machine shop, grass runways and 3,300-foot airstrip are often brimming with activity.
The complex is currently home to two Helio Couriers, a Cessna 206 and a Robinson R44 helicopter—all of which are used for training and various other activities, such as chartered flights, special events and public relations.
