Computers for Kenyan Translation Needs
Get Involved
Throughout rural Kenya, God’s voice is emerging in local languages—igniting fiery faith and deep-rooted conversions.
Here, the Kenyan organization Bible Translation and Literacy works with 14 remote language groups, translating Scriptures, advancing linguistic work and offering humanitarian aid.
Faulty computers, however, are shackling its efforts.
Nearly 70% of the organization’s computers are beyond their typical lifespan and rapidly deteriorating. By partnering with JAARS, you can help provide 10 laptop computers, enabling staff to perform:
- Bible translation—utilizing software, accessing research materials, requesting help online and working with overseas consultants.
- Literacy work—developing primers and materials on HIV/AIDS, environmental concerns, agriculture, animal husbandry and gender equality.
- Administration—training teams, coordinating programs, partnering with churches, fundraising and accounting.
As a result, God’s voice can soon resound in every Kenyan language—bringing His riveting message of love and forgiveness to the country’s most isolated people.
