After years of arduous work, the Mbandja Old Testament is nearing completion.

Translators working with ACOTBA-SUBO, a partner organization in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, want to finish this—and other language projects—quickly and accurately. To do so, project leaders need to travel to rural areas to meet with review committees, pastors, and people within the language groups.

Motorbikes are an ideal mode of travel for this purpose. However, all too often, those currently in use break down along the way, leaving travelers stranded far from home. And the ACOTBA-SUBO mechanic cannot travel far from the city to help them without having a roadworthy motorbike himself.

By partnering with JAARS, you can help Congolese teams continue translation work by providing motorbikes for:

  • The director of the Mbandja project.
  • The Pagabete translation project.
  • The Ngbandi-Ngiri translation project.
  • The ACOTBA-SUBO mechanic.

These essential tools will help teams complete translation projects without added costs and delays. As a result, thousands of Congolese can soon receive Scripture in their language—for the first time.
