Mooha.

He’s woven through nearly 90 years of Dirasha history: introduced by Orthodox Christians in 1920, proclaimed by evangelical missionaries since the 1950s.

Yet many Dirasha have yet to encounter Him—and His Word—in a way that speaks to their hearts.

The growing language group, now more than 90,000, lives along remote, shrub-cloaked mountainsides in southwest Ethiopia. Today, the church is dedicated to reaching its own people, and is currently translating the New Testament.

Yet a completed draft will take years; even then, God’s Word will be reserved for the small percentage of literate Dirasha.

By partnering with JAARS, you can help provide the JESUS film—a feature-length movie based on the Gospel of Luke. This project will provide:

  • Recording and projection equipment.
  • Production and duplication costs.
  • Training, promotion and follow-up.

As a result, thousands can watch the piercing account of Mooha’s Son—finally understanding the depth of His love.
