Digital publishing has revolutionized nearly every form of communication: from academic research to magazines, political campaigns to how-to books.

However, SIL International—a world leader in language work—has yet to catch up.

The organization develops a wealth of academic research, as well as reference materials for Bible translators. But many are confined to print and CD-ROMs, two increasingly costly, inefficient mediums.

By partnering with JAARS, you can help SIL International shift to digital publishing, by providing its Global Publishing Services team with funds for digital publishing, Web support, computer equipment and software upgrades. With these resources, the team can:

• Digitally publish research.
• Provide more digital reference materials for Bible translators.
• Publish resources to a redesigned www.sil.org and www.ethnologue.com.
• Create a digital publishing system for SIL International and its partners.

As a result, the organization can share its findings with academic communities and host governments, paving the way for future language development. Bible translators can also create more accurate, vivid drafts of God’s Word—bringing His compelling story to thousands of communities.
