Our still-juvenile 21st century—flaunting iPods and wikis, social media and staggering software—has already unleashed a surging, world-shifting flood of technology.

Yet its waters have yet to quench the needs of language development.

The field is decidedly data-driven: amassing and arranging a language’s sounds and words drives nearly every task, from learning to say “Good morning!” to drafting the Gospel of Luke. Commercial software can cope with a few facets, such as dictionary-making, yet most tasks beckon for specialized programs.

By partnering with JAARS, you can help meet their technology needs—and bolster Bible translation and literacy work worldwide. This project will fund equipment, labor and travel for software-developing teams with JAARS, SIL International and other partners.

With quality software programs, many of the world’s most forgotten communities will see their language preserved and celebrated, enjoy education and finally receive God’s Word—without years of delay.

This project is sponsored in partnership with Wycliffe Bible Translators.
