Software Training and Publishing Services
Get Involved
Your gift will help provide academic resources and digital publishing tools for Bible translation teams worldwide.
Bible translators and partnering language project workers need a wide range of academic resources to produce quality work. Specialized software can ease the process of Bible translation, but only if people are made aware of its availability and trained in its use.
A Ghanaian mother-tongue translator exclaimed, “If we had Translators Notes [books in simplified language for translators whose first language is not English] for every book of Scripture, we would soon finish translating all the Old Testament!” Such helps can multiply the global workforce.
Digital and print publishing services not only make translated Scriptures accessible, but a host of other publications as well. And the Internet is becoming the world’s primary source of information and products. It is vital to develop and maintain informative and resource-rich websites to serve language communities and other stakeholders.
JAARS supports the efforts of SIL International, Wycliffe organizations, and other partners, to provide technical and academic expertise. This project addresses several of these needs. Your contribution will help:
- build a strong academic resource team
- increase the quality and availability of training for crucial Bible translation and language development roles
- develop digital publishing capacity—getting published products, such as Translators Notes, into the hands of workers around the world
- create and distribute tools that enable language communities to produce print, electronic, and web versions of publications in their languages
