Media Training and Equipment for Papua New Guineans
Despite the country’s more than 425 active and completed Bible translations, thousands of Papua New Guineans haven’t experienced God’s Word in their own language—simply because they cannot yet read.
Most of the country’s language groups are oral societies, which typically communicate through what can be seen and heard. Written communication has never been a part of many groups' traditional culture—making learning to read or write a daunting task.
By partnering with JAARS, you can help provide training and equipment for Papua New Guineans, equipping them to create media such as:
- Christian music in local languages.
- Radio programs.
- Dramatized Scripture recordings.
- Translated versions of the JESUS film or Luke video.
As a result, God’s Word can impact thousands of Papua New Guineans, regardless of their age, ability to read or physical conditions.
