Voluntarily Submitted Information

Throughout this Site, we collect several types of voluntarily submitted information. These include, but are not limited to, information for:

“My Account”

When you create an account on this Site, JAARS collects your personal information through securely encrypted Web forms. This information includes your name, contact information and unique identifiers, such as your JAARS Partner ID number.

This information is used to process donations, supply receipts and provide you with additional information about JAARS. Your contact information is also used to get in touch with you, when necessary, to answer questions or resolve customer service issues.

Online Donations

When you make a donation to JAARS via this Site, we collect all necessary information through securely encrypted Web forms. This information includes your name; contact information, including email and street address; financial information, such as your credit card type, number and expiration date; and unique identifiers, such as your JAARS Partner ID number.

This information is used to process your donation, supply a receipt and provide you with future JAARS publications, such as Partner Express. If you do not wish to receive these publications, please let us know through our online contact form.

Your contact information is also used to get in touch with you, when necessary, about questions or issues regarding your donation. Your JAARS Partner ID number is used to match your current donation with your donation history in our records.

Subscriptions to Emails or Print Publications

When you subscribe to our emails or print publications, we collect any necessary contact information through securely encrypted Web forms. You can remove yourself from these mailing lists at any time via the “My Account” section on this Site.

Emailing a Web Page or Video to a Friend

When you email a Web page or video to a friend via this Site, we collect your friend’s name and email address. We use this information to send your friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the specific content on this Site. Your friend will not receive additional information from JAARS, except by request.

This information is stored in our server logs solely for the purpose of system maintenance. The information will not be used for any other reason, except as described in “Disclosure Exceptions” below.

Surveys, Polls and Contests

To provide specific services, we partner with third-party vendors, such as credit card processing companies and consultant organizations.
