The Writing of Music (Panel 2)

Music Panel 2

The printing of music was invented in the 15th century. It became possible for ordinary people to sing a type of song called "madrigals" in their own home.

They sat around the table, sharing one music book between them. The pages of the book were printed so that each singer had the notes of his own part facing him.
