Missions at the Airport
Missions at the Airport is a weekend event designed to showcase the technology JAARS uses to support worldwide Bible translation.
Throughout the year, our Missions at the Airport team travels around the country, bringing aircraft, technology displays and missions materials. Team members often speak at churches, schools and other venues during the week as well.
While every Missions at the Airport event is different, most include the opportunity to:
- Ride in a missionary airplane or helicopter.*
- Observe a Helio Courier flight demonstration.
- Explore how computers are used to support Bible translation.
- Interact with missionaries and JAARS pilots.
- Discover how media specialists dub languages into the JESUS film.
*Please note: To ride in an airplane or helicopter, you must sign a liability waiver. Children and teens under 18 years old must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
