Jungle Jump Off
Each summer, youth groups and their leaders trek to the JAARS Center to spend a week in a simulated remote village. During Jungle Jump Off, teens and college students cook on mud stoves, sleep in primitive houses and hammocks, and learn about Bible translation and missionary work around the world.
The program includes a tour of the JAARS Center, demonstrations, videos and visits to our museums. Groups also eat a meal in the home of a JAARS family and listen to missionaries share about their experiences overseas. The highlight of the week is a five-hour simulated mission experience called The Journey.

New Youth Program
We place a high priority on sharing the global need for Bible translation work for the more than 2,250 Bibleless language groups, and on communicating what it will take to accomplish that task. Sharing that need with youth is an important part of achieving the goal. As opportunities, environments and methods have changed around the world with regard to accomplishing the Bible translation task, we also look at how we can reflect those changes as we communicate the Bible translation task to today's youth.
In keeping up with those changes, we plan to launch a new program, currently under development, in 2011. The current format for our youth vision program—Jungle Jump-Off—will be discontinued at the end of the 2010 season.
As the opportunities for 2011 are finalized, updates will be posted on this page. If you are interested in receiving an update about 2011 and beyond, please sign up for our monthly E-Newsletter.
