Aviation Qualifications

Aircraft Maintenance Technician
|
|
|
- Mechanic certificate with airframe and powerplant rating or
equivalent
- Two years of experience in maintaining aircraft preferred
|
|
|
Avionics Technician
|
|
|
- Mechanic certificate with airframe rating or equivalent
- Two years of education in electronics or licensed in
communications technology
- Two years of experience working in avionics or radio preferred
|
|
|
Support Personnel
|
|
|
- Experience or training to work in appropriate field, e.g.,
accountant, bookkeeper, aviation buyer, experienced aviation
stockroom person.
|
|
|
Pilot
|
|
|
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 500 hours flight time
- Commercial pilot certificate with instrument rating*
- Valid Class II medical certificate or equivalent
- Tailwheel and high performance endorsements
*Instrument rating is not required for helicopter.
Recommended Additional Qualifications
- Flight instructor certificate
- Mechanic certificate, airframe and powerplant ratings or
equivalent.*
*Very few openings exist for pilots without maintenance
licensing.
Desirable Additional Qualifications
- Multiengine rating
- Turbine aircraft experience
