Aviation Qualifications

• Mechanic certificate with airframe and powerplant rating or equivalent
• Two years of experience in maintaining aircraft preferred

• Mechanic certificate with airframe rating or equivalent
• Two years of education in electronics or licensed in communications technology
• Two years of experience working in avionics or radio preferred

• Experience or training to work in appropriate field, e.g., accountant, bookkeeper, aviation buyer, experienced aviation stockroom person.

• Minimum 500 hours flight time
• Commercial pilot certificate with instrument rating*
• Valid Class II medical certificate or equivalent
• Tailwheel and high performance endorsements

*Instrument rating is not required for helicopter.

Recommended Additional Qualifications

• Flight instructor certificate
• Mechanic certificate, airframe and powerplant ratings or equivalent.*

*Very few openings exist for pilots without maintenance licensing.

Desirable Additional Qualifications

• Multiengine rating
• Turbine aircraft experience
