| The aviation program in the Philippines operates two Helio Couriers, one on the island of Mindanao in the South and one on Luzon in the North. Also, a twin-engine Navajo, especially important for long flights over open water, is currently based on Mindanao. The Helios, which are famous for short take-offs and landings (STOL), have been used with great success in the mountainous terrain of the Philippines. | ||
