| SIL* in Brazil currently
operates two aviation programs, one in Cuiabá and the other in
Porto Velho. Pilots fly a Cessna 206 in both locations.
Additionally, in Porto Velho, SIL works hand-in-hand with YWAM
(Youth With A Mission). Mike Bunn, a JAARS-trained pilot-mechanic
with YWAM, bought a Helio Courier with floats from SIL Peru several
years ago. It is registered to YWAM but is also flown by SIL pilots.
*SIL is the organization most JAARS pilots and mechanics work for overseas. |
