December 2004

 
1. Praise that duty-free importation papers came through for the new PC-6 airplane. It’s on its way to S.E. Asia!
2. The year-old organization, Wycliffe Ukraine, is responding to a growing interest in Bible translation. They need 2-3 volunteers able to translate a few pages a month from Russian and English into quality Ukrainian, for use on their web page.
3. Tomorrow is JAARS Day. Pray that many will come to visit and learn more about Bible translation.
4. Pray for presenters, guides, van drivers, pilots, kitchen workers, greeters and others helping with JAARS Day today in Waxhaw.
5. In this season of giving, pray for those deciding where to send their year-end gifts. Pray for sensitivity to the Holy Spirit as He leads them.
6. Rain prevented the re-roofing of two JAARS apartment buildings in November. Pray for good weather and some work parties to come so these roofs can be finished in December.
7. Pray for Gail Dailey, recovering from fractures caused by a fall from a roof while working at his son’s home.
8. Cheri Arthur enjoys her work with Information Technology Training. Husband David is at a crossroads in his role, with several factors to consider. Pray for clear direction.
9. Since SIL’s 50th Anniversary in the Philippines, five more New Testament translations have been completed: Finallig, Limos Kalinga, Tagabawa, Agutaynen, and Mayoyao Ifugao.
10. Two New Testament dedications will be held in Palawan, Philippines, December 11 and 23. Pray that people will rejoice in having God’s Word and that they will read and follow it.
11. Pray for Machiguenga mother- tongue translators. In mid-December they will begin taking the Genesis translation to their villages in Peru to do community checks for clarity.
12. Praise God for His marvelous provision, resulting in an excellent end-of-fiscal year financial report and a great report from the auditors.
13. Pray for VP of Finance Kevin Golding and the accounting staff for their work in the year to come. An additional accountant is needed.
14. Pray for protection for all those serving in “sensitive” areas.
15. Factory production of the second new Pilatus PC-6 is scheduled to finish today. Pray for its preparation for service in Southeast Asia.
16. Thank God for Jenny Merkey, new director of child care at the MK (missionary kid) Station. Pray that the Lord will supply a teacher for ages 4-5 and someone for the babies. Both are needed five days a week to provide the children with a stable environment.
17. The Vernacular Media training course ends today. Pray for those preparing to use these skills to help translation teams around the world.
18. C.J. Fenton (general maintenance) and Seth Damon (community development) finished Construction and Maintenance (CAM) Orientation yesterday. C.J. will serve in Waxhaw.
19. CAM’s Seth Damon and wife Kari hope to leave for Papua New Guinea in January. Pray that their support team will be completed in time.
20. John Marx, Director of Materials Transportation, is thankful their office is fully staffed at present. Pray for additional long-distance drivers.
21. Pray for Bibleless people groups, that Wycliffe’s Vision 2025* will be accomplished.
22. Pray for Partnership Ministries and Creative Services in their efforts to keep JAARS partners informed about praise items, prayer requests and project funding needs.
23. Pray for Bruce Witteveen in the Printshop as he operates our aging press. Pray for funds to replace it.
24. Christmas for translators in isolated locations is sometimes lonely and painful. Pray God will fill their hearts with joy.
25. Rejoice! “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given,” (Isaiah 9:6).
26. Pray that visitors, drawn to the JAARS campus by two museums, will catch the vision for Bible translation.
27. Pray that God will continue to build His church among the Pajonal people of Peru and others who now have His Word in their language. Pray they will have a hunger and thirst to read it.
28. Praise God for amazing us with two new PC-6 airplanes for Southeast Asia. One more, a PC-12, is still needed.
29. Praise that Karang language speakers in Cameroon have 1, 2 and 3 John in print and on tape, and Scripture songs in their language.
30. A new IRS ruling concerning the donation of vehicles to non-profits begins January 1. Pray this will not discourage people from donating vehicles to JAARS.
31. Pray for Jim Akovenko and the senior staff. Pray for wisdom to lead JAARS well in the coming year.

November 2004

 
1. Pray for field personnel attending computer recurrency classes during the two weeks before Computer Technical Conference begins. Thank God for this training opportunity.
2. Because you prayed, trainees from Angola, Germany, Nigeria, Peru, Switzerland and Tanzania all received their visas in time to be here for the 14-week Vernacular Media course that began Sept. 13.
3. Praise God for completion of the Book of Genesis in Candoshi-Shapra by John and Sheila Tuggy and three mother-tongue translators in Peru.
4 .Sue Crabtree will oversee twelve banquets in November for Wycliffe Associates Carolinas. The first will be this evening in Durham, NC.
5. JAARS Webmaster Leda Rabenold was appointed Wycliffe USA Corporate Secretary in September. Pray for Leda and Paul as they prepare to move to Orlando.
6. Pray that the excitement of seeing how technology relates to Bible translation will touch visitors during the JAARS Day program today.
7. Several new Wycliffe families have had to postpone training until their partnership teams are in place. Pray that God will lead them to the people He has chosen to be their prayer and financial partners.
8. “For 20 years I read the Bible in the local trade language,” said a national pastor. “It was like reading in the moonlight. Now, in my language, it is like bright sunlight!” Praise God!
9. On this Wycliffe World Day of Prayer, pray for Bible translators around the world who are close to finishing translation projects.
10. Take time to pray for our young men and women in uniform, some in dangerous areas. Pray for their families here at home too.
11. The JAARS Board meets today through Nov. 13. Pray for wisdom, clarity and unity in making decisions.
12. Praise God for the quantity and quality of translation helps that have been produced by the Language and Translation department staff.
13. Pray for Jim Akovenko and the Senior Leadership team as they move JAARS toward its vision and goals in support of Bible translation.
14. Pray for the 250 delegates, in Waxhaw for the annual Computer Technical Conference, Nov. 14-20.
15. In Benin, Africa they celebrate the Month of the Bible Nov. 15 - Dec. 15. Pray that many more people will begin reading the Scriptures as a result.
16. Vision 2025 is a God-sized task. Pray for all the Bibleless people groups still waiting.
17. CILTA, the Spanish SIL course, finishes December 22. Pray for good understanding, perseverance, spiritual encouragement and financial provision for the students from eight countries.
18. Praise God and pray for the new Wycliffe organizations in Europe and Asia promoting the vision for Bible translation, literacy and community development for indigenous people.
19. Ron and Phyllis Manus and the Urarina co-translators are close to final checks prior to printing the New Testament. The team has been plagued by health issues.
20. Continue to pray for a part-time lab technician and a doctor to oversee the JAARS Health Services lab.
21. Pray for relief from the cholera outbreak in and around N’Djamena, Chad, due to heavy rains and contamination of the water supply.
22. Thank God for the first new team from Wycliffe Spain going through cross-cultural training in preparation for serving in Africa. Ask God to meet their needs.
23. Following a day of listening, questioning and pouring over portions of the Gospel of John in Vanuatu’s Tangoa language, one man couldn’t stop talking about the wonder of discovering how much of God’s Word he never knew existed!
24. Keep mother tongue translators in prayer as they try to learn and understand concepts they’ve never dealt with before.
25. On this Thanksgiving Day give God thanks for the many New Testaments dedicated during 2004.
26. Several translation teams in PNG are close to finishing New Testaments. Some of their children seem to have been targeted by Satan. Pray!
27. Praise God for two PC-6 airplanes recently acquired for use in Southeast Asia. A PC-12 airplane is still needed.
28. Todd Sasnett, Director of Center Services, finds the role demanding, but fulfilling. His wife Kerri serves Wycliffe retirees at Waxhaw. Praise God for this talented couple.
29. “God’s Word hits the heart,” proclaimed one guest at the Limos Kalinga New Testament dedication in the Philippines. Pray that those who bought copies will read, understand and respond.
30. Radio listeners in the Caribbean will soon be able to listen to a radio drama of the Jesus film in Islander English Creole. Pray that the right voices will be found, the recording process will go well, and listeners will respond to the message.

1. Tomorrow is JAARS Day. Pray that many visitors will come and learn more about Bible translation.
2. Pray for presenters, guides, van drivers, pilots, kitchen workers, greeters and others helping with JAARS Day today in Waxhaw.
3. The fall JAARS Spiritual Retreat begins this afternoon and continues tomorrow. Pray for facilitators Dan and Marilou Weaver.
4. As the new fiscal year begins, pray that God will supply all that is needed by Wycliffe and JAARS in support of the worldwide Bible translation effort.
5. Pray for the merged JAARS and Wycliffe communications teams as they prepare a joint Beyond and i.e. magazine for distribution in November.
6. Pray for the staff of the Museum of the Alphabet and the Mexico Museum in Waxhaw and the Anthropology Museum in Dallas, as they present scientific and linguistic facets of the Bible translation story to visitors.
7. Pray for Marlene Lawrence and Wayne Yates, newly trained guides at the Museum of the Alphabet. Edie Gleason and Dottie Blair, guides at the Mexico Museum, are both recovering from surgery.
8. Praise God that Wycliffe USA offices and personnel in Florida were protected from Hurricanes Charley and Frances. Pray for the families whose homes sustained damage.
9. Glen Ferguson and the Missions at the Airport team will visit a different local church each weekend this month with the helicopter.
10. David and Karen Liming were at JAARS for computer training when Karen underwent emergency gallbladder surgery. Pray for her recovery, coordination of their visas and work permits, and a new departure date for PNG.
11. Five colleagues lost a spouse to cancer during the summer months. Pray for them and their children.
12. From the Papua New Guinea personnel office: “Pray that we don’t miss important details as we process work-permit applications for members and keep up with our regular duties.”
13. The annual Aviation Technical Conference (ATC) begins today and ends Oct. 22. Pray that field delegates will find it spiritually refreshing and technically informative.
14. Pray for ATC delegates as they consider changes that will impact aviation operation and services.
15. Many translation families serve on islands and must travel over water in sometimes dangerous circumstances. Pray for their safety.
16. Praise God for the encouragement Pacific island teams received from Captains Larry and Anne Hamilton during a Maritime Ministries survey and training visit.
17. Using solar power, a laptop and new recording method, Larry Snydal and Des Derbyshire recorded the Gospel of Luke, recited by 12 mother tongue speakers. The process took three days—less than half the time required by earlier programs.
18. “I love teaching missionary kids and knowing my job helps keep translators translating!” Praise God for Wycliffe teachers like Rebecca Burke.
19. In Southeast Asia, aviation gas shortages are a crucial concern. Pray for a solution to this serious problem.
20. Carol Nielsen will continue as Construction and Maintenance morning receptionist until mid-November. Pray that the Lord will supply a long-term replacement.
21. There has been an increased public interest shown in missionary aviation. Pray for recruiters making follow-up contacts after recent MATA and JAARS Day programs.
22. Pray for Wycliffe families spending their furlough year in Waxhaw. Pray for their children as they adjust to new school situations.
23. “I was delighted to learn my technical skills could be used in world missions,” said a new Wycliffe member. Ask God to challenge and call more young men and women to meet critical support systems needs.
24. Praise God for the many dedicated “behind-the-scenes” servants who give and pray faithfully so JAARS can continue to support Bible translation.
25. Debbie Hatfield, newly appointed director for SIL in Togo-Benin, Africa, needs wisdom as she leads her colleagues this year.
26. Extremely hot weather delayed the roofing of two JAARS apartment buildings last summer. Pray for capable volunteers to finish this important project this fall.
27. Volunteers are choice people who bring a variety of skills and expertise to the Bible translation team. Praise God for all those serving with JAARS.
28. Dean and Carol Jordan and two Nafana co-translators finished checking all of Exodus and half of Isaiah during their three-month stay in Waxhaw. Praise God.
29. Paul Duffey, Director of Land Transportation, needs an assistant. Pray for the right person for the job.
30. Pray for the eighteen trainees and nine children, of seven nationalities, at the 54th Africa Orientation Course in Cameroon, now in session.
31. Lesley Fast is leading a three-week Exegesis and Translation workshop in PNG for six experienced national translators. Pray for their ability to learn this and new computer skills too.

1. PRAY for Eric Peterson as he coordinates the sale of the Hiller and its parts in order to fund the Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter.
2. Chico, while translating the New Testament, became the first believer in the Monkey River Apurina village of Brazil. The five NT checkers also believed. PRAISE God for His Word!
3. PRAY that the Apurina church in Brazil will grow as believers read the New Testament, to be published early next year.
4. PRAISE God for new aviation members assigned to Papua New Guinea. PRAY they will quickly gather their support team.
5. The Time is Now Wycliffe video is being distributed to African-American churches. PRAY that many will become interested in Bible translation as they view it.
6. JAARS, a translation center? Well, sometimes…. Christian and Louise Grandouiller are here because of elderly parents’ needs. PRAY for them as they translate the New Testament.
7. PRAY for wisdom, strength and safety for Jim and Sue Akovenko as they travel doing “friend-raising” for JAARS.
8. PRAY for the 380 million people who still have no Scripture in their mother tongue. PRAY that Vision 2025 will be fulfilled for these people.
9. She was frustrated at not getting any “real” work done because of people’s medical needs. Then their daughter had a dream. “I saw you putting bandages on Jesus’ owies,” she said. PRAY for wisdom as Bible translators set priorities.
10. “We can use anybody except a bartender,” said Wycliffe founder Townsend. “If he gets converted, we could even use him.” PRAY for JAARS personnel needs: writers, artists, administrators, pilots….
11. JAARS Day. PRAY for staff as well as guests. PRAY that guests will catch the vision for Bible translation.
12. On this Grandparents’ Day, PRAY for grandparents who cannot see their grandchildren as often as they would like because they or their grandchildren live overseas.
13. Offerings from JAARS Vespers will help pay for the publication of the Uripid New Testament (Vanuatu). PRAY that the publishing schedule of early 2005 will be met.
14. “There’s nothing as good as this!” said an Asian man as he read 1 Corinthians 13 in his language for the first time. PRAY for thousands of his people who still know nothing of God’s love.
15. PRAY for Tarja Ikäheimonen, Michiyo Nozawa, and Hanna Marie Hoel and co-translators as they prepare the Mende New Testament (PNG) for typesetting. PRAY that the people will be ready to respond to God’s message.
16. PRAY for Mandy Yon, Food Services Manager, as she plans and prepares meals for conferences hosted at JAARS. 17. PRAY that more churches will consider ways to directly impact unreached people groups through Bible translation.
18. A pastor in the Philippines began a Bible study in a mountain high school. PRAY that as the 70 students hear the Word in their language, they will reach out to others.
19. Aviation in Papua New Guinea is converting to jet fuel planes. Please PRAY that their Cessna 402s will sell. So far buyers have shown little interest in them.
20. Many Wycliffe people continue working well into their seventies. Financial partners also age and reduce their support. PRAY that God will bring others to invest in their ministry.
21. Connie Catlett in Human Resources says that a few weeks after a total hip replacement, her hip dislocated. It was doubtful it would stay in place. “Many people prayed, and I’ve had no more problems. PRAISE God!”
22. About 98% of the remaining unreached people groups are oral communicators only. PRAY for wisdom for this challenge in fulfilling Vision 2025.
23. PRAY for Durk Meijer, director of Vernacular Media Services, as he and others represent Wycliffe in the “Discipling Oral Learners” group at the Asia 2004 Lausanne Forum for World Evangelization September 29 - October 5.
24. Jeff Ron’s two-day, solo cross-country flight took five days because of weather. He prayed and God gave peace! PRAY for Jeff Ron with YAJASI JAARS SE Asia aviation affiliate) now back in SE Asia.
25. On this most holy Jewish day, Yom Kippur, the day of Atonement, PRAISE God that Jesus came to atone for sins of the world. PRAISE Him that His people gave us the Old Testament.
26. Rejoice! PRAISE the Lord with the Kapingamarangi people of Polynesia that a mini Old Testament was dedicated this month. PRAY that the church will be strengthened as people read it.
27. PRAISE God for the large group of Information Technology college-age interns. PRAY for God’s leading in their lives as some resume college, some go back to jobs.
28. Because you prayed, PRAISE God! Bob Coker, a government retiree, has come to work in Information Technology (IT). PRAY God will show his wife Louise where she fits in—IT or Vernacular Media.
29. Planning for the Aviation Technical Conference (Oct. 13-22) is underway. PRAY for aviation director Chuck Daly and others involved in preparations.
30. Because you prayed, PRAISE God! A dispatcher for the Materials Transportation Department came for six weeks. Continue to PRAY for a permanent dispatcher.

1. The Partnership Development Workshop this week aims to help missionaries communicate the teamwork concept of Bible translation to their friends and churches. PRAY for a successful workshop.
2. Jill Bryan (www.Jillybean.org) is on the road for three months in her new home, a Fun Mover (she calls it a Faith Mover). PRAY for her as she spreads the gospel and the news about JAARS.
3. JAARS has an urgent need for an Events Coordinator. Please PRAY for the right person to fill this position.
4. PRAISE God with 86-year-old retired translator Char Houck for a wonderful visit to the Philippines seeing the people where she translated the Word.
5. The Botolan Sambal New Testament is out of print. PRAY with Char Houck that all will work out for the reprinting of this New Testament.
6. PRAY for good health for those on a JAARS Short Term Missions trip to Mexico. PRAY for safety as they do construction work on SIL offices.
7. JAARS Day. Please PRAY for the staff who made this event possible. PRAY that guests will be blessed.
8. One of the major goals of the Spiritual Discipleship Course held this week is to give new missionaries a solid, practical “theology for living.” PRAY for deeper understanding for participants.
9. Because you prayed, Dr. Mike Richards has come to volunteer part-time at JAARS Health Services! PRAISE God and PRAY for Mike and his wife Janice as they settle into the community.
10. Administrator of Health Services Linda Claassen asks that you continue to PRAY for a director and a part-time lab technician.
11. A Total It Up! course was to have begun in NC today. But since few signed up for it, they were asked to attend a Total It Up! scheduled for the 16-20 of this month in Orlando. There is still space for nine others. Help PRAY them in!
12. Paul and Grace Closius are again in Ghana for six months with Wycliffe Affiliate GILLBT. PRAY for Paul as he repairs translators’ two-way radios, while Grace tutors French-speaking translators in English.
13. New support personnel begin an Intercultural Communications Course (ICC) in Waxhaw today. PRAY for participants and staff.
14. Ray Kapteyn, a pilot, with his wife Ann, came to an ICC course five years ago. Recently they reported at a Center meeting on the encouraging work God is doing in Brazil. PRAY for safety for Ray as he flies.
15. A translation couple went to an Asian country where people had never heard of Jesus. Now several know Him! A teenage girl was the first believer. Pray for these believers.
16. For security reasons, many missionaries cannot publicize where they work. PRAY for their safety.
17. Ken and Lori Williams spent January in Chad and saw the great need for support workers. PRAY for them as leave today to work in Chad.
18. Of the approximately 140 known sign languages worldwide, translation is ongoing in about 15%. PRAY for more Bible translators to work with the Deaf.
19. PRAY for the nine JAARS delegates who went to the WBT-US Delegate Conference. Their conference responsibilities continue for the next few weeks.
20. Because you prayed for the WBT-US Delegate conference, now PRAISE God that He gave a spirit of unity.
21. A dictionary is a vital aspect of a language program and a necessity for Bible translation. PRAY for Giuliana López and Irene Chóvez in Peru as they check the Machiguenga-Spanish dictionary.
22. Because you prayed, Lois Bryson of Vernacular Media says, “The one-year-from-surgery mark finds me with no evidence of cancer. I was able to teach in the Spring 2004 Training session full time.” PRAISE God with her.
23. Urgent request! PRAY for visas for the multi-national group coming next month for the three-month Vernacular Media Training session.
24. Joe and Marilyn Waddington, serving in Manila, ask you to PRAY that the young couple replacing them will be able to arrive soon. The Waddingtons will return to serve in Waxhaw.
25. PRAY for Jim Akovenko and his leadership team as they consider the worldwide needs for Vernacular Media, Information Technology, and Transportation.
26. First impressions about missions and Bible translation are often formed during JAARS tours. PRAY for tour guides as they interact with visitors.
27. Please PRAY that our aviation mechanics will detect any engine problems before they become major.
28. PRAISE the Lord! Hundreds of new Wycliffe and JAARS missionaries are preparing for service. PRAY for prayer and financial partners so they may move on to assignments soon.
29. Six trained Candoshi men in Peru have only two sets of equipment to show the Gospel of Luke video in thirty scattered communities. PRAY for finances for more equipment.
30. PRAY for cultural sensitivity for personnel working with government officials to resolve a problem of exporting an aircraft from Peru.
31. “The students are ready but where is the teacher?” is the title of a brochure published by the Papua New Guinea branch. PRAY that God will call teachers for the students of Wycliffe people worldwide.

1. Tangko Jini, from Cameroon, is returning home after further aviation training. “I am glad to work in missionary aviation serving Bible translation,” he says. PRAY for him.
2. Many Wycliffe and JAARS people will be traveling on this Independence Day weekend. PRAY for their safety.
3. Attah and Mensah from Ghana arrived at Waxhaw last month. They are working with Dean and Carol Jordan on the exegetical check of the Nafaanra O.T. PRAY that the team stay focused on the task.
4. Independence Day. PRAISE God for freedom to read God’s Word. PRAY for those who do not have that freedom.
5. “The JAARS Family Library helped me get books for our home-schooling library,” said an overseas worker. PRAISE God for library manager Rachel Engel and her staff.
6. Tengeng, Ngawi, Yergalech. PRAISE God and PRAY for these men, and many others, who translate God’s Word with Wycliffe members.
7. PRAISE God with people in Papua New Guinea! The recently-purchased Bell 206 Long Ranger is en route to PNG. PRAY that it will clear customs with no problems.
8. PRAY for wisdom and clarity for those who speak and write about Bible translation. PRAY that God’s Spirit will touch those who listen or read about Bible translation.
9. Ted James always said he was a Bible translator, no matter what job he did. Pat, his widow, is now a “Bible translator” in Waxhaw. PRAISE God for jack-of-all-trades people.
10. Because you prayed, now PRAISE! Recently, a pastor who feels that God wants him in translation came to JAARS Day. On this JAARS Day PRAY for clarity of presentations and that guests would have open ears and hearts.
11. Another Total It Up! course begins this afternoon at Waxhaw. (This time Total stands for Taste Overseas Teaching and Literacy.) PRAY that participants will discern God’s call regarding Bible translation.
12. The one-week Total It Up! course is one of Wycliffe’s best recruiting tools. PRAY many young people will come to these courses held in various parts of the U.S.
13. More tour guides are needed in the Museum of the Alphabet. PRAY for this need.
14. PRAY for safe travel for those coming to the North America Branch Conference, which begins tomorrow in Waxhaw. PRAY for JAARS staff who will host this conference.
15. PRAY for those who sometimes risk their lives, often their reputations, to translate God’s Word for their people. They ask not to be removed from danger, but to remain strong in it.
16. JAARS Information Technology Department says one of the three highest needs is people. Thanks for helping PRAY them in!
17. Translation teams often face spiritual opposition as they prepare Scripture for typesetting. PRAY for encouragement and perseverance for a team facing opposition today.
18. Because you prayed, now PRAISE. Those who went to Singapore to train Asians in computer technology supporting Bible translation report that ldquo;The workshop was a success!” PRAY for those they trained.
19. Mark’s Gospel in Jesraj (South Asia) will soon be printed. PRAY for the Jesraj people as they read it. PRAY for the translators as they continue translating Luke’s Gospel.
20. PRAISE God for Glenn and Linda Smith and their vision for beginning Maritime Services. PRAY for safety for Bible translation teams who travel by water.
21. A Scripture Promotion and Resource Knowledgebase is being developed by Vic Dickey in Vernacular Media Services. PRAY for Vic coping with neck pain from long hours at the computer.
22. David Sampson and Daniel Von Fange, volunteers, are helping Vic Dickey in Vernacular Media Services. Pray that God would show these two men His plan for their future.
23. A team working with a group in Mexico report that 15 people recently committed their lives to Christ. PRAY they will grow as they hear the Word of God in their language.
24. A U.S. church of only 150 people wants to raise $20,000 for the Digo translation project in Kenya. PRAISE God! PRAY they will meet their goal.
25. Please PRAY for wisdom and graciousness for new JAARS donor reps as they present financial needs from around the world to JAARS friends.
26. JAARS will be in Oshkosh, WI, through August 2 at the largest aviation fly-in event of the year. PRAY for contacts with members of the aviation community.
27. The Schmidts have spent a number of their furlough months helping at JAARS. PRAY for them as they return to Cameroon, Patrick to work in member care and church relations; Sue, in children’s education.
28. “We want guests to have a friendly welcome,” says Carol Weaver, Housekeeping Department manager. PRAY for an urgent need: three people to work once a week preparing rooms for guests.
29. PRAY for strength and perseverance for those who teach their people to read God’s Word. “Literacy workers ride bicycles up to 8 hours to teach classes,” says Don Vander Ploeg.
30. “When their bicycle tires split, they sew them up,” Don Vander Ploeg says. Because you prayed, now PRAISE God that literacy workers in the Congo were taught the essentials of bicycle repair by Don and Rodney Ballard.
31. PRAISE God for mission-minded churches. PRAY that He will continue to stir up His church to participate in effective ministry in mission.
