Moving Supplies with MTS

JAARS is a non-profit organization and our staff is not paid. MTS charges a user fee to cover operational expenses and finance subsequent trips. Weight and distance determine the cost.

Routes and schedules are based on the demand for service in a geographic area and by trucks and drivers available. Therefore, flexibility in scheduling the move is necessary. Service to especially remote locations may require additional charges.

We Provide—You Provide

MTS provides experienced, certified professional drivers. They come from a variety of work backgrounds. They travel alone or with their wives. You provide whatever help is necessary at the pick up and delivery points to bring your cargo to the truck or remove it. The driver will help you pack the load inside the truck.

MTS trucks are equipped with blankets, ramps, appliance carts, hand trucks, and piano dollies. Drivers use special equipment to secure the load for travel.

To Request Service

To request moving service, contact the MTS office at 704-843-6010 or email JAARS_trucking@sil.org. We will send you an order form by email to complete and return. We are authorized to move household goods only for missions, missionaries and pastors.

You will need to provide the following information on the order form:

Name and address of your mission agency. Web site information is requested, if available.
A contact person for pickup and delivery, including address and phone number.
Desired pickup and delivery dates. Flexibility in choice of dates provides the greatest chance to assist you.
Cargo description, which helps us calculate the weight of your goods and the space required on the trailer.
Your method of payment. A VISA or Master Card is required unless you have a Wycliffe Bible Translator member account or are part of a mission approved for direct payment.
