| The Construction and Maintenance Department is looking
for people who have skills in the trades listed below. Acceptable training
and experience can include trade or tech school, college or university,
military, or at least two years of on-the-job experience.

Architect/Engineer |
||||||
| Responsible for providing architectural planning and
design for SIL and WBT building projects.
Education and Experience: Architectural degree from an accredited school. Five years minimum experience in industry as an architect, or architectural engineer. Professional license desirable. |

Automotive Mechanic |
||||||
|
Responsible for maintaining and repairing automobiles, vans,
small trucks or other automotive vehicles used in the operations of
an SIL and WBT entity. May train nationals. In some entities, may
also be responsible for diesel engines and motorcycle repair as
described for Diesel Mechanic and Motorcycle Mechanic.
Education and Experience: Automotive Mechanic apprenticeship or equivalent training. |

Buildings Maintenance Supervisor |
||||||
|
Responsible for maintaining and repairing buildings used at an SIL
and WBT administrative or training center.
Education and Experience: Background in construction and maintenance. Some management experience helpful. |
||||||
Cabinetmaker |
||||||
| Responsible for setting up and operating a variety of
woodworking machines and using hand tools to fabricate and repair
high-grade wooden cabinets and furniture. May train nationals. In most
entities, will probably be responsible for the task as described for
Carpenter.
Education and Experience: Cabinetmaking Apprenticeship or equivalent training. |

Carpenter |
||||||
| Responsible for constructing, installing and repairing
wooden structures and fixtures. May train nationals. May work as a
member of a construction team assigned to a project on a long-term or
short-term basis.
Education and Experience: Carpenter apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. |

Center Manager |
||||||
| Responsible for the planning, coordinating and
effecting of activities to provide construction, maintenance, repair
and operational services on an SIL and WBT Center.
May supervise or participate in related national training programs. May help coordinate larger construction projects involving outside workers. Education and Experience: Field experience preferred. |

Civil Engineer |
||||||
| Responsible for providing engineering assistance in
the design, construction and modification of building projects,
wastewater facilities, airstrips, roads and other related civil projects
for SIL and WBT overseas branches and home divisions. May perform
other related duties, as requested.
Education and Experience: Civil Engineering degree from an engineering school or university. 5 years minimum experience in construction industry. Professional license, if possible, Ability to work well with others. |

Construction Supervisor |
||||||
| Responsible for planning, coordinating and organizing
the activities of workers involved in construction projects. May assist
in purchasing building materials. May be responsible for cross-cultural
orientation of workers arriving on a field. May train nationals. May
prepare plans and specification in some entities. May be in charge of
special projects, such as airstrip construction.
Education and Experience: Adequate experience in construction supervision. Experience working cross-culturally very advantageous for overseas construction projects. |

Diesel Mechanic |

| Responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel
engine vehicles and diesel engine power plants used in the operation
of an SIL and WBT entity. May train nationals. In a smaller entity,
may also be responsible for other vehicle maintenance as described for
Automotive Mechanic.
Education and Experience: Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship or equivalent training. |

Electrician |
||||||
| Responsible for repairing, maintaining and installing
electrical systems and equipment, such as motors, transformers, wiring,
switches and alarm systems. May train nationals. May work as a member
of a construction team assigned to a special project on a short-term
or long-term basis.
Education and Experience: Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. |

General Maintenance Technician |
||||||
| Responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical
and electrical equipment, buildings and constructions used in the
operation of an SIL and WBT entity. May be responsible for motor
vehicle maintenance in a smaller entity. May train nationals.
Education and Experience: Recognized training and experience in plumbing installation and repair. |

Grounds/Landscape Maintenance Supervisor |
||||||
| Responsible for laying out and maintaining the grounds
of an SIL and WBT administrative or training center.
Education and Experience: Training and experience in horticulture and grounds maintenance. |
||||||
Group House Manager |
||||||
| Responsible for coordinating and managing a group
housing facility to provide hospitality to transient members and
guests. Usually this position is filled by a husband-wife team.
Education and Experience: Understanding of the principles of Christian leadership which operate in SIL and WBT. Management experience in service-type operation. |

Motorcycle Mechanic |
||||||
| Responsible for maintaining and repairing motorcycles
and small engines used in the operations of an SIL and WBT entity. May
specialize in the maintenance and repair of a particular brand of
motorcycle that has high field usage. May train nationals. In a
smaller entity, may also be responsible for other vehicle maintenance
as described for Auto Mechanic.
Education and Experience: Motorcycle Mechanic apprenticeship or equivalent training. |

Operations Manager |
||||||
| Responsible for maintaining buildings and equipment
at the available and functional level necessary for effective program
operation. May assume responsibilities such as General Maintenance
Technician or Buildings Maintenance Superintendent in some entities.
Education and Experience: Practical experience in maintenance and operation of electro-mechanical equipment. Management experience desirable. |

Parts Store Supervisor |
||||||
| Responsible for ordering, storing and issuing spare
parts for complex machinery or equipment such as aircraft, computers,
motor vehicles and radios.
Education and Experience: Basic accounting or record-keeping training. |
||||||
Plumber |
||||||
| Responsible for assembling, installing and repairing
pipes for water, heating and drainage systems. May train nationals.
May specialize in construction and work as a part of a construction
team.
Education and Experience: Recognized training and experience in plumbing installation and repair. |
